All paddlers where observed whilst on their paddle boards, no hard board paddlers had their paddle the wrong way round.
Its easy to make mistakes if you don't have a lesson!
Survey Observations from our SUP Safety Survey
All paddlers where observed whilst on their paddle boards, 2 paddlers could not return to exit the beach. The first was on day 1 and the slight cross shore breeze was enough to stop the first time paddler getting back to the beach. The second was unable to get back on the board and the current was taking them away from the beach. Both paddle boards were towed back to safety and exit the beach.
